Creating Google Sites
1) Go to the "Welcome to Google Sites" page.
2) Enter your "Google Account" Email and Password, then click the button entitled "Sign in".
3) Click the large blue button entitled "Create site".
4) On the "Create new site" page:
a) Enter your "Site name" into the first field. (Note: by default, this will also be included within your URL address).
(optional) Change your URL address in the second field if you do not wish for the title of your page to be listed in your URL).
I suggest you do not change the URL address, and allow it to auto-set to the title of your page.
b) Enter a short "Site description" in the third field.
You should include the PURPOSE of your site here.
c) Identify whether the site will possess "Mature content".
Since this is for educational purposes, you should NOT need to check the box entitled "Mature content".
d) Determine who you wish to "Share with". You may make it open to "Everyone in the world", or "Only people I specify".
I suggest you initially allow "Only people I specify" until the Site is complete, and then open it to "Everyone in the world".
e) Select a "Site theme". Click on the link for "More themes" in order to see a greater selection.
Since this is for educational purposes, I suggest you select a PROFESSIONAL looking theme.
f) "Type the code shown" in the empty field.
g) Click the large blue button entitled "Create site".
Congratulations! You are now ready to set up your Google Site, so Go Get 'Em!
